Junior Board Coat Drive

For the whole month of October, the Daviess County Conservation Districts' Junior Board will be collecting new and gently used coats, jackets, and hoodies. This is a project that the Junior Board has decided to do as a way to give back to those in need in our community.

Annual Tree Give Away

In April of each year we host a Tree Seedling Give Away in honor of Arbor Day. As a conservation District we strive to conserve and protect our soils. Billions of trees are cut down every year to supply the growing demand of our needs. This is one of many ways we serve our community for the good.

KACD Scholarships

Each year the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts awards three different scholarships in the amount of $1000.00. These state-wide scholarships are provided by the KACD Auxiliary. The scholarships are due to the District office by March 1st.

The Natural Resources Scholarship is awarded to any any student enrolled in college who has declared a major in the field of agriculture or conservation of natural resources.

The George Crafton Memorial Scholarship is awarded to any high school senior who is enrolled to attend college and intends to major in field of agriculture or related field.

The Betty Barrick Non-Traditional Student Scholarship is awarded to any student that is at least 25 years old and pursuing an undergraduate degree in agriculture or a related natural resource field.
